One more year, the Scientific Society The Canary Museum joins the activities scheduled by the Canarian Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society (ACIISI) within the Weeks of Science and Innovation in the Canary Islands.
Between November 5 and 12, numerous eso and Baccalaureate students will have the opportunity to attend the workshop "Some Very Living Dead", which aims to bring students closer to the research processes that are being developed around the human remains of the Aboriginal population of Gran Canaria. Students will see how the study of archaeological evidence allows to reconstruct various aspects related to the forms and living conditions of the populations of the past: diet, economy, social organization, demographics, origins, etc.
The didactic workshops programmed by The Canary Museum also aim to highlight the historical value of archaeological material and to raise awareness of the need to protect and respect the enclaves in which such testimonies are still preserved.
