main line of research focuses on the bioarqueological analysis of bone and dental remains of the Aboriginal populations of the Canary Islands and especially Gran Canaria, oriented to the historical reconstruction of these societies. Diet, violence and health status are some of the aspects that have focused their work. In this line he has directed and participated in various research projects, developed mainly within the framework of El Museo Canario. The dissemination of the new knowledge generated is another of its objectives, which has resulted in the organization and participation in conferences, meetings and other dissemination actions.

In his research career also highlights the analysis of the psyunic records of Canarian archaeological sites, focused on the management and economic exploitation of animals by the first inhabitants of the Canary Islands, and on the role that these societies conferred on animals in ritual practices.
