On December 17th, the Canario Viera Botanical Garden and the Clavijo of the "Herbaario Las Palmas de El Museo Canario" was delivered. It is the herbarium developed by the botanist Gonther Kunkel in the 1960s on behalf of the museum, intended to complete the institution's Natural Science Fund.
His transfer to the facilities of the Botanical Garden, where some other collections prepared by Kunkel are already preserved, was planned for some years given the conditions that this Center has to guarantee its correct conservation and especially for its work in the research and dissemination of the Canarian flora.
As work prior to the delivery of the material, each of the documents that make up the herbarium has been photographed and the information relating to each of the copies has been recorded in a database, thus retaining a digital copy of the same in the museum.
