riaDescription: Triangular morphology with two active apexes. The one to the left of the photograph shows traces of revival and wear. The one on the right has been eliminated, probably by an accident during work. It was created using four-sided carving to facilitate the revival of active apexes.
Use/Function: Working instrument for percussion: active areas or apexes hit with the intention of fragmenting or tilling the rock. In some cases they act directly and in others as intermediate instruments, in the manner of scoplos, which implies that there are other percuttors (stone or wood) to hit them. Carved peaks are abundantly documented in mines and quarries for the extraction of raw materials such as obsidian and volcanic tuff. They have also been identified in a timely manner in other types of contexts such as houses or collective barns, which could be related to their use in the work of artificial caves or other work that needs an instrument of their characteristi
