Our partner Dr. Juan Bosch Hernández has made an important bibliographic donation that has been incorporated into the Canarian library of this institution. It consists of a total of 424 volumes of works by authors and Canarian themes, printed on the islands or with information regarding some aspect of the life of the archipelago. The valuable legacy includes virtually all the printed production of Dr. Juan Bosch Millares, father of the donor, whose work as a researcher, president and director of The Canary Museum was recognized when he was distinguished as an honorary partner in 1970. Some of the typed evidence of their works and the original photographic material that accompanied them are part of this donation. It is also worth highlighting a large number of brochures of the nineteenth century made by the island printing presses and dealing with topics as varied as literary creation, the island dispute, political contests, statutes of societies, sermons, conferences, etc.
This important donation contributes to enrich and reinforce the importance of the varied documentary heritage that El Museo Canario has, being available to all those interested in its consultation.
