On Saturday, December 10, at 12:00 hours, The Canary Museum will once again host the extraordinary year-end concert of the Promuscan association. Entry will be free until capacity is completed
. This time it will be the Trio Martino (Sara Brito, Paula Piñero and Tania Rodríguez) in charge of offering a selection of works composed for flute, small percussion and piano, an interesting program in which will premiere works by the local authors Daniel Roca, Víctor Landeira and Yónatan Sánchez. This morning session will also include works by Dolores Romero, Alejandro Moreno, Guillermo Alonso, Pedro Guajardo and Diana Pérez Custodio, representatives of three other associations of the FAIC (Federation of Iberian Associations of Composers) based in Murcia, Malaga and Extremadura. These are the associations that, together with Promuscan, organize on this occasion the series of parallel end-of-year concerts that will also take the Canarian composers to their respective venues, a confrontation in which the latest trends of the current young Spanish composition will be highlighted. At t
he same time, the Promuscan association announces another extraordinary concert that will also take place at the Canary Museum on December 23rd. It will pay homage to the great writer, musician and grancanario painter Victor Doreste, whose death was 50 years old on November 26. Works of the honoree himself will be performed: seven boleros for singing (Cristina Cira Rodríguez) and piano (José María Curbelo) and four pieces to improvise also on the piano. This programming of light music is undoubtedly an unknown facet of the creator and, therefore, a very novel recovery.
