In the late 1980s the remains were moved, in their corresponding archeedimentary packages, from the site to a ship of Lomo Gordo for later exhumation, which has not begun to be addressed until October 2009. The time elapsed between the transfer and the intervention as well as the storage conditions of these packages have caused a significant deterioration of the osteological evidence, which requires that all studies to be carried out on the remains have to be carried out in parallel with their excavation, as the only means of avoiding any loss of information.
