Next Sunday, November 6, The Canary Museum celebrates a JORNADA OF OPEN DOORS to publicize the process of 3D modeling of the #momias and the new results derived from its study. This initiative is part of the project "Momias: 3D biographies" that are being carried out By the Canary Museum and the company Tibicena. Archaeology and Heritage.
To attend this activity it is necessary to register in advance by calling 928 336 800 (limited places). Two calls will be made: 11:00 and 12:00 hours.

"Mummies. 3D biographies" is a scientific research and outreach project sponsored by the Hergar Foundation. The work involves the bioarcheological study of three of the museum's best-preserved mummies and the creation of a 3D model of each of them using photogrammetry techniques. These three-dimensional representations will be available on the network and to them will be linked numbered annotations from which you can access all the relevant information that comes from your study (sex, age, diet, pathologies, characteristics of the shrouds that cover them, etc.).
In addition, the project includes a set of outreach activities that will be carried out both during the development of the work and once it has been completed.
