Today we received in The Canary Museum the journalist Georgina Higueras, who is on the island to participate in the conference cycle "Periodism in conflict zones", closed yesterday in the Literary Cabinet of Las Palmas. For the museum it has been a pleasure to have the presence of this exceptional journalist, who has a long professional career linked especially to Asia, and in particular to China, where he has witnessed his transformation and openness to the West. It has also covered numerous international conflicts, such as the two Gulf wars or those of Afghanistan, Vietnam-Cambodia, Chechnya, Israel…, working primarily for the newspaper El País.Es autho

day Georgina Higueras was the person in charge of closing the cycle of lectures of the Literary Cabinet with the talk "Mother and War Correspondent". Today he visited The Canary Museum, accompanied by the journalist Angels Arencibia, taking an interest in knowing all the details of the life of the indigenous population of Gran Canaria. Teresa Delgado, curator of our institution, has hosted this journalistic tour of our museum.
