The Canary Museum and the La Caja de Canarias Foundation signed this morning a collaboration agreement renewing the fruitful relationship they have been maintaining for more than a decade. Under this agreement, The Canary Museum will receive a financial aid of 6,000 euros that will be aimed at the enrichment of its documentary collections during the year 201
7.The signing of the agreement involved the president of the Foundation, Blas Trujillo Oramas, and the president of The Canary Museum, Diego López Díaz, who not only showed his thanks for the commitment made today , but extended it to the continued support that the entity has been offering to the museum for so long, even in the most difficult years of the crisis. Trujillo, for his part, expressed his interest in continuing to collaborate with El Museo Canario for years to
come. As for the fate of the 6,000 euros provided by the Fundación La Caja, the agreement details that they will be dedicated "to the acquisition of new and old editions of works by authors or Canarian themes", or to "the periodic press currently published in the Canary Islands, in paper format and in digital support". In this way, the documentation center of El Museo Canario has one more resource that will allow to maintain its rich collections, one of the clearest references of the island documentary heritage, and make them available to all citizens.
