Among the activities scheduled by The Canary Museum for International Museum Day, on Thursday the institution will host the concert "The music archive of the Cathedral of Las Palmas: XVIII-XIX centuries", offered by the Ensemble Aura Sonora ensemble. The group consists of María Belén Castellano Pérez (violin), Néstor Francisco Henríquez Domínguez (violin), Lara Cabrera Campelo (viola), Carmen del Pino Ojeda Masías (flute), Texenén Déniz González (flute), María Soledad Marrero Henríquez (cello) and Dulce María Sánchez Rodríguez (soprano).
The concert will offer pieces by Pedro Palomino, José Rodríguez Martín, Benito Lentini, Cristóbal J. Millares and José Ma de la Torre, all composers of the music chapel of the Cathedral of the Canary Islands of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
The evening is organized by Promuscan and the Royal Canarian Academy of Fine Arts, sponsored by the Government of the Canary Islands.
